Brackendale Eagles


We don't get many gorgeous sunny days in the winter so when there's one, we do our best to drink it all in.

It's eagle viewing season. We packed our binoculars & a picnic and drove up to Brackendale just north of Squamish, a community that boasts the largest gathering of bald eagles in North America.


We spotted a handful of eagles with a couple scooping over our heads not 20 feet away. Serena was more intrigued by the eagles' feast or what's left of it - the dyke was strewn with huge salmon bones picked clean by their predators. We somehow came home with a set of salmon teeth that had mysterious made its way into the pocket of Serena's jacket...
